We planned to do the same for our 5th child and suddenly our pediatrician wasn't so keen on it. They "allowed" us to wait until 18 months and then gave him 4 shots in one visit. He had a reaction (which none of my other children had at all) that they considered "mild and NORMAL" but I most certainly did not see it like that. I asked, "If a child who had never been sick a day in his life started running a high fever for days straight, acted lethargic and weak and cried constantly like he was in pain, you'd say there was something wrong with that child,wouldn't you?" "Well, yes of course but...." But WHAT? When I stated he would not receive further immunizations,they reported us to the health department and social services.
