I swear, I had to re-read your first line there...I thought I was reading something that I had said! "hi, can we please know each other?" is definitely something that I would say and I think that I have said such a thing in a desperate (not implying that you are desperate) attempt to find 'others'!

I'm sorry to hear that you are going to miss the picnic, but it's not the end of the world...there will be other days to meet and greet in real life -- as if blogging wasn't an integral part of 'real life'. At any rate...

We aren't driving right now either, but that's because the car has died...but I usually only drive it on 'grocery day' and prefer to walk or (as of lately) attempt to bus from the Northside to Hell and back without running out of money and without having to panhandle or hitchhike myself and child back home! So far, so good!

Oh, nice to 'meet' you and I look forward to our paths crossing again.

hi, can we please know each other?

we're anarchist pagan parents in pittsburgh and thought we might be the only ones, until i linked here off of the anarchist parents list.

unfortunately we will be out of town for the next few weeks, so we're missing the anarchist picnic this year. also, we don't drive, so it's sometime tough for us to get to different parts of the city (we're in garfield).

but, i am going to read your blog, at least! mine is at http://gyreworks.blogspot.com if you want to check it out. i'm sure the picnic should be great.
