Hey Jody, thanks for the well-wishes. I am actually almost 100% now! I still have a little pain when I bend all the way over (like to touch my toes) and a little bit if I stretch backwards too far, but I can actually *do* stuff now and not feel like I am going to rip apart!

I'm sure my son (5.6) would *love* to hang out with yours and play games together! I'll get back to you soon about PALS via email.

Ouch! Not the kind of adventure you were hoping for, I'm sure! I hope you are feeling better. I'm just curious. Have you ever connected at PALS? I live in Beaver County, about an hour out of the city. And I have thought of getting involved, but didn't know how unschooling friendly that bunch is. My 8 year old son is SO following his own path. I have given him more freedom than the older kids had at his age. (They have plenty as teens, now.) But he has hair past his shoulders and is not really into reading yet. He plays lots of media games both on the computer and on the gamecube. He doesn't "fit" any mold, and I'm ok with it, but it seems to be a barrier socially. I wouldn't worry if he didn't seem so lonely. Any thoughts?
