Religiosophy
How can you be an Anarchist and be spiritual? I said spiritual, not Christian and G-d fearing; this leaves the door wide open for spiritual inspiration, epiphanies and existential crisis to spring forth from many areas unhindered by a Christian god.
Why do you write ‘G-d’ and not ‘God’? Long explanation omitted…Because I can and want to, thats why.
Are you a Wiccian; do you believe in G-d? No…Yes, but prefer the Great Architect of the Universe and Chaos.
Fact: ‘Real’ Anarchists strive for egalitarianism, liberation and community, not chaos, ‘Lord of the Flies’, disorder and uncivilization.
Fact/Opinion: All persons are born ‘good’ and programmed the way the human animal should be. Society creates ‘bad’ by repressing people at such a young age, causing neurosis (usually of a sexual nature). We spend our entire adult lives trying to recover from the damage all our childhood praise and punishment caused.
Parenting
Since you are an Anarchist, does your child(ren) run free? Yes…my son is naked all the time, unattended and eats nothing but Soy Dream ice cream…are you stupid? Apparently, you have me confused with my old neighbor who voted for Bush (twice) and lets their 2 year old run around alone, outside with nothing but a soggy disposable nappy on. Myth: Babies are trying to manipulate adults when they cry. They are communicating that a need is not being met, in the only way that they know how to communicate. Be (respon)sible and (respon)d with love to a crying baby or child.
Unschooling
What is Unschlog? Unschooling + (web)log = a log pertaining to ‘our’ unschooling, not yours or theirs.
Aren’t you afraid your child(ren) will not socialize properly, since you unschool? Walk down the hall or sit in on a class in any school — better yet, visit the lunch room or playground (if there is still one) and tell me exactly which ‘proper’ socializing character trait my child(ren) is missing out on.
Homebirth
What is a midwife and is ‘this’ all legal? Natural Attachment Midwifery
Are you accepting homebirth clients; will you be my midwife? No…Yes. I am technically on Sabbatical, excluding the births of friends/family and the occasional client outside of that circle. Will I make an exception? Maybe.
Is homebirth really safe? Birth is a safe as life gets. Scientifically speaking, based on numerous studies it is as safe and usually safer than hospital birthing.
I’ve been informed of the risks and even researched it myself, but I am still having my planned c-section; do you have any advice? Keep telling yourself whatever it is that allows you to sleep at night.
